Lookout Tavern Lead Bartender - Energetic Restaurant and Nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona

Seeking an EXPERIENCED LEAD bartender who is obsessed with providing superior customer experiences. Our lead bartender will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations, while also providing friendly, welcoming guest interaction that people will talk about.

LEAD Bartenders MUST be able to work under pressure and in potentially extremely loud and crowded situations. We are a full nightclub 3 nights a week and you will be required to work in situations where its hard to hear. Bartenders that work during nightlife are also required to wear "Scottsdale style" club-wear.

Lookout Tavern is a modern social tavern in North Phoenix with a large food menu, huge center bar with 16+ beers on tap and an impressive cocktail menu. Two patios combined with roll-up garage doors create a cohesive inside outside experience. 50 HD TV's for Premium sporting event viewing, over-sized jenga and other social bar games lend to the relaxed atmosphere. A state of the art sound and lighting systems carries and drives the energy throughout the day and into the late-night. Our Nightlife is unmatched in this region of Phoenix with premium bottle service, and a large dance floor on the weekends.

Requirements

Bar shifts:

Resolve and deescalate issues with guests, and staff.

Monitor proper pouring and ringing in

Maintain recipe standards

Maintain cleanliness of bar areas

Assist MOD with decisions on bar staffing and cuts

Assist MOD with monitoring and processing comps and discounts

Assist MOD with drawers and making change

Monitor and address intoxicated guests

Post on Social Media

Check on 86’d bar items

Communicate with Managers and staff about daily updates, 86’d items, and temporary urgencies

Make Batches of Sangrias, House Shots, and seasonal specials

Train and onboard new hires behind the bar

Admin Duties:

Update pricing and Toast buttons for Beverages

Review and update info for sculpture reports

Review and update info for Bev Check

Identify challenges and opportunities for alcohol pour costs

Implement alcohol pour cost reducing measures

Assist in developing new beverage cocktails and menu ideas

Develop weekly and holiday specials, and batch

Update Standards and Recipes

Brainstorm and execute promotions

Set-up brand and Lookout Staff trainings

Attend Manager meetings

Schedule and Lead Bar Meetings

Assist MOD in A/V requests

Evaluate and address staff concerns, and questions

Interface with vendors, setup spends, sample new products

Interface with beer distributors, follow up with beer changes

Create list of deadstock, phased out inventory, and new products coming in

Review Inventory and make weekly orders for Southern, Breakthru, and RNDC

Suggest improvements and ideas that address maximizing team morale, guests satisfaction, increase in profits, opportunities to cut waste and overall enhanced hospitality.
