VIP Host

SUMMARY

The VIP Host position will require you to actively market yourself through various social media outreach and staff outings. You will seek out existing and new clientele and help them book VIP table reservations. You will explain pricing, secure payment, great the guests upon arrival, seat them at their VIP Table, and deliver exceptional customer service to every guest. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major areas of responsibility/ management include, but are not limited to:

  • Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.

  • Participating in weekly marketing requirements and outings and actively marketing the venue and yourself.

  • You are encouraged to make weekly table reservations and build the venue database through networking and completing data cards and building and establishing personal clientele

  • Field all sales inquiries for bottle service and table reservations and market and promote events on property while maintaining a level of professionalism that will make guests want to return.

  • Flexibility to perform other job related tasks as necessary

  • Anticipating the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency.

  • Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department.

  • Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other associates.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. and active participant in social media and the ability to meet marketing requirements outlined by management.

  • 1 Year experience in marketing nightclubs or restaurants and/or related experience in a retail or marketing internship or related university marketing course work preferred.

  • Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent customer service skills are required.

  • Must be 21 years of age and have the ability to read and write in English proficiently

  • Must possess Tips and Food Handlers cards issued from the state of California

  • Must have proven track record of personally providing excellent customer service and be able to work a flexible schedule

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware. Up to 50 lbs. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

The pay scale* for VIP Host is $16.85.

*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
